[HPADM] cold install 11.0 question

G'day folks

After being hacked I decide to install 11. Figured the easiest thing to
do is cold install and start completely fresh. Machine is 712/60
currently running 10.20. My boot disk is only 1 gig and I don't currently
use the logical volume manager. This disk is too small to install 11.0
on, thus I'm unclear on exactly the correct way to proceed. After having
spent several hours looking for answers to my questions I figured I'd try
the list.

My presumption is during the installation process I need to set
up lvm.

I presume I can't use one of my other 3 disks (all are seagate 4 gig
drives) as the boot disk since it doesn't have hp's piece of firmware on
it?

Thus I would need to set up lvm across my current boot disk and one 4 gig
drive. However, it is unclear to me during the installation process as to
how to select the correct 4 gig drive to lvm along with the boot disk.
(It does select a drive, but not the one I want to use.)

Maybe all this just isn't possible and the only option is to set up lvm
first, and then attempt an upgrate? However, if I upgrade, will this
remove any stuff a hacker may have left behind? Unfortunately, I don't
have any backups handy here that I can use prior to being hacked.

Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Peter
