I am installing java on an AIX 4.3 system and smit's install routine is
telling me a requisite is "bos.loc.com.JP.4.3.3.11". I have obtained this
fix, run inutoc on the directory and don't see it listed inside of smit
though another fix in the same directory is listed.
I am suspecting that the JP indicates that it is a Japanese version of
locale commands and smit doesn't see any point in showing me filesets for
non-resident language sets. If this is really the problem, it seems like a
total misfit for Java to require this since nothing else on this system is
in Japanese.
Am I on the wrong track? If I'm right, any suggestions?
