I don't believe I ever came across this before:
# mkuser tsmadmins
3004-694 Error adding "tsmadmins" : Name is too long.
Where is the setting kept to control how long your usernames can be?. I
find this problem in AIX 4 and 5?????. Is this a Unix standard or can this
be modified by a header file or something?
