NFS question on SP/Regatta

OK - got a good one here. At least it looks like one to me so far...

I built a new SP cluster on a P690 Regatta last week. Now, I am trying to
get some NFS stuff to work. Here is what is happening:

# hostname
f01n01

# mount spcws02:/aixapps /mnt
mount: 1831-008 giving up on:
spcws02:/aixapps
vmount: A system call received a parameter that is not valid.

# showmount -e spcws02
export list for spcws02:
/spdata/sys1/install/pssplpp (everyone)
/spdata/sys1/install/aix510/lppsource (everyone)
/aixapps (everyone)
/nodebackups (everyone)

# ping spcws02
PING spcws02: (10.129.33.254): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.129.33.254: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0 ms
64 bytes from 10.129.33.254: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=0 ms
----spcws02 PING Statistics----

4. Checking frames

This step was skipped because the -G flag was omitted.

5. Checking nodes

I see the Host Responds is "no", but the host is indeed up. I am having
some "hags" issues on that box right now. The daemon keeps committing
suicide - signal 6.

Anyone have any ideas (on either issue) ?
