SUMMARY: GNU screen

Thanks to Reiner Dassing, Piotr Bienias, and Tim Cutts for their responses.
Piotr Bienias said to run lsof /dev/ttyB9 and saw that a process had that
tty. Tim Cutts suggested I perform a ps -t B9 and kill the processes that
had a hold of it. Did that and got the error message No more PTYs.
However, a little later in the day screen just started working. We are
following up with HP gold support to try to ascertain what fixed this issue.

Thanks again,

Chris

Subject: GNU screen

Admins,

Slightly off topic but here goes. I have a GS160 running 5.1B patch kit 3.
We have GNU screen installed and has worked fine for over a year. Just
today everytime we try to run screen we get the following message "Cannot
open /dev/ttyB9: No such device or address" and then I get [screen is
terminating] and I get kicked out to my prompt. Has anyone seen this before
and if so how do I correct this issue

TIA,
