(I sent this to comp.unix.tru64 last week w/ no answer, apologies if you
see this message twice)

I have a Tru64 server (5.1A) which has IPv6 support enabled (it uses
the AAAA record in pings and traceroute, has a routable IPv6 address
assigned to it, etc...

However, I can't add a IPv6 address in /etc/resolv.conf (we have IPv6
resolvers, it just sits there for a couple of seconds and goes to the
next server on the list which is on IPv4) as well as adding additional
IPv6 addresses. Like:

ifconfig tu4 inet6 add <IPv6 address>
ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCIFADD): no such interface: tu4

(yes the interface IS there, it has the exisiting configured IPv6
address)

Does /etc/resolve.conf support IPv6 addresses, and is there anyone who
has configured additional IPv6 addresses on their interfaces?

Thanks in advance!
