Hi all,

Further investigation showed other processes also timed out, for example
rlogin.
I the issued the command 'rcinet restart' to restart all network services.
All is fine now.

Regards
JC

Original question:

After a reboot of an ES40 (V5.1A PK2) remote TCP/IP printing stopped
working.
I've checked the printcap file, restarted the printing daemon, and restarted
the printers themselves
but no luck. I can ping the printer.

lpc status lp1 shows:
lp1:
printer is on remote host 106.24.21.41 with name text
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        1 entry in spool area
Tue Dec 17 07:51:14 2002: waiting for 196.20.21.41 to come up

I also saw these entries in /var/adm/syslog.dated/current/lpr.log:

already waited 2
