Engineering question on Technology

Hello Managers,

I have two Alpha GS60e's located in the same building. One is used as a failover unit for the primary machine. I want to relocate this secondary machine to a location that is about 3 miles away. I also want to keep failover and want to keep the secondary machine up to date with data... a close to real time update is how I would describ it. Currently the failover disk is housed in an array via an HSZ80.

My question is, is there any technology available that will allow me to accomplish this real time updating and failover considering the 3 mile distance.

Purchasing new equipment is possible ... if it will make things work.

TIA,

Tony Brown
