hi all,
we just replaced the backplane of one of my es40 systems, after lots of
troubleshooting we kind of hanging on no boot for the system.
the initial boot goes fine and sees all the pci cards on the system,
but when i get the P>>> prompt and enter boot, it boots fine untill
this section:
ace0 at isa0
ace1 at isa0
lp0 at isa0
and then just hangs there...
it should give after that (according to a previous boot prinout)
fdi0 at isa0
fd0 at fdi0 unit 0
and continues....
do you think there is something bad with the floppy or the floppy
controller???
fyi: the system is down since yesterday and i tried to boot single user
and from the /genvmunix file, but it stops at the same point.
any help??
