I seem to have been confusing in my description of the problem.

The new system boots and is working fine. I probably shouldn't have even
mentioned it in the first place.

The old system is the one I am having trouble with. I moved it and
reconnected the cables from it's external cabinet. I labeled those cables,
when I disconnected them, to be sure I got them plugged back into the
correct spots on the cpu cabinet. From here is when I have the problem
described below.

The system won't boot.

First, it take 15 to 20 minutes, after I power it on to get the blue screen
where it tests the system and memory. When the system tries to boot it gets
to the point where it says:
starting xcr0; please wait

After a few seconds 3 error messages appears on the screen, but they then
scroll by so fast I can't read them. All that appears after them are blank
lines. I tried to do a ctrl-s to stop the scrolling but that didn't work.

At the boot prompt, >>>, I can do a sh devices and I see all of the disks.
I can do a test at the boot prompt and I can see the disks being accessed.

I wish I could read those error messages so I could pass them on.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can go from here?
