"With both NIC cards in the system, you will need to reconfigure your
network
to supply the IP address to alt0 instead of fta0. You could run sysman and
configure the network that way, or vi rc.config and change it manually...

As long as alt0 is in your kernel, you shouldn't need to reboot. Just
restart the network, #rcinet restart"
