My problem was:

This was caused by a bug in the kernel in 5.1a PK2 and is fixed with
the following patch from Compaq/HP:

Patch C 00340.00 - Fix for ether_output() when using packet filter

crash dumps and to Compaq Stockholm for providing the patch.
