There is apparently a security hole in SNMP on UNIX servers. Some SNMP
servers are vulnerable to Denial of Service attack.

Compaq officially reports that the only impact on Tru64 systems is possible
ungraceful termination of snmpd, in the event of such an attack.

There are related patches in the latest patch releases that apparently help
minimize or correct the security issues.
Anyone know of concerns or issues relating to this problem? Any other
thoughts?
Thanks.
