Hi gurus,
my problem is about dlt tape. I had used to backup following command
(tar cvf /dev/rmt/1n /seismic).
I wanted to restore the files from dlt to disk (tar xvf /dev/rmt/1n ) but I
got a message "tar: tape read error"
but I gave that extract command again after rewind the tape. and I didn't
get the error message at the same file but it appeared again during the
restoring the other files.
Because of getting this error message at the different files, I think there
is an uncertanity about the tape.
If you have any advice or experience to solve this problem, please let me
know..
