Volume Manger on Solaris 9

I have setup mirrors for many OS drives using Disksuite on Solaris 6, 7, and
8. I use the command line vs GUI,
modifying the /etc/lvm/md.tab and creating my metadevices.

Can I do the same thing using Solaris 9 Volume Manager? Does is basically
work the same way?
