Dear Sunnagers

Since you are the sun managers ,I am interested post you some interesting
aspects on the practical behavior of SUNs.

We use a Sun Enterprise 3500 , Six processor machine.
We had many time consuming programs which later we divided using fork. We can
see the processes thus created acts on different processors BUT one processor
for one process at a particular moment. What we need is -- for a single
process it should simultaneously run on different processors.

What Sun 450 doing is, allocating different processors at different time. Is
this what is available from mutiprocessor machine ??? If one process can be
distributed to mutiple processors at the same time, then only it may give some
good use. This is my idea, what do u say ?

Could you please refer something on how to bind a processor to a process ?

What is good book on Sun multiprocessors ?

Hope I shall receive answers from you soon.

Thank you and regards,
