Thanks in advance for any response.
We are running a large network of SunOS (Yes I said SunOS) 4.1.4 systems as
NFS clients to Solaris 7 NFS servers. Obviously, we are tied to NFS V-2 over
UDP. The performance of NFS V2 is significantly slower than V3. I am looking
for performance tips on NFS V2 mixed with V3 or preferably, does anyone know
of a V3 for SunOS. I have tried mounting the file system with RSIZE=32768,
WSIZE=32768 but the system defaulted back to the 8192 block size. Any help
you can provide on getting a better performance from NFS V2 or other
alternatives I would appreciate.
