Hi, folks. My problem was caused by the fact that I had typed the wrong
default route. Thanks to Anthony, Paul, Matthew, and Crist for pointing
this out to me almost immediately.
I've typed the (correct) default route about four million times in my
career here. It just never occurred to me to look for the simple
solution. Sorry.
