LCD Monitors for Old Suns

Does anyone have any recommendations for LCD monitors for
ancient Sun hardware? We have some old, old, unsupported
Sun hardware whose CRTs are dying. The purchase cost of
similar CRTs is in the same ballpark as LCD monitors. Given
all the pluses of LCDs, that's the way we'd like to go,
but the guys at the site are reporting picture quality
issues when they just hookup a LCD to one of these with
the off-the-shelf Sun-to-15-pin adapters they have. And
unfortunately (well, fortunately really), we did purge all
of the similar systems from our inventory here, so I can't
easily test stuff for them.

We're talking about Sparc 5 boxen. Yes. I know. It's
non-critical stuff, and we'll probably just replace them
when they break, but they're still running.

Any recommendations of specific LCDs that work well? Or
configuration tricks on the Sparcs? Or better Sun-to-15-pin-
VGA adapters (if there are such beasts)?

I can find more detail on the hardware for anyone with
possible advice. Thanks.
