LDAP client setup problems

Hi managers,

I've since given up trying to get ldapclient to work with OpenLDAP and
am attempting to get nss_ldap and pam_ldap to work instead.

I have followed the instructions in
http://research.imb.uq.edu.au/~l.rathbone/ldap/solaris9.shtml

I have installed the following:

gcc-3.4.6
make-3.81
openssl-0.9.7b
openldap-2.1.22
nss_ldap-220

however I cannot install pam_ldap-165. I get the following error:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I/usr/local/ssl/include -I/usr/local/include
-DLDAP_REFERRALS -DLDAP_DEPRECATED -D_REENTRANT -g -O2 -Wall -fPIC -c
-o md5.o md5.c
/usr/ccs/bin/ld -o pam_ldap.so -B dynamic -M ./exports.solaris -G -B
group -lc pam_ldap.o md5.o -lldap -llber -lnsl -lcrypt -lresolv -lpam -ldl
Undefined first referenced
 symbol in file
__umoddi3 /usr/local/lib/libldap.so
__udivdi3 /usr/local/lib/libldap.so
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to pam_ldap.so
make: *** [pam_ldap.so] Error 1

I really need to resolve this and get a clear cut solution to setting up
all our Solaris machines here as clients to our OpenLDAP server ASAP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Andy
