Hi there,

I'm trying to change the root password on a NIS+ root master and decided
to take this route.

    ssh root@rootmaster
    $ keylogin
    Password:
    $ passwd root
    New Password:
    Re-enter new Password:
    passwd: password successfully changed for root
    $ chkey -p
    Updating nisplus publickey database.
    Reencrypting key for 'unix.rootmaster@cl.gemini.edu'.
    Please enter the Secure-RPC password for root:
    Try again. Please enter the Secure-RPC password for root:

chkey -p failed so I decided to try a keylogin again, but now I
authenicate with the old or new password:
    $ keylogin
    Password:
    Password incorrect for unix.rootmaster@cl.gemini.edu
