Hi there,
I'm trying to change the root password on a NIS+ root master and decided
to take this route.
ssh root@rootmaster
$ keylogin
Password:
$ passwd root
New Password:
Re-enter new Password:
passwd: password successfully changed for root
$ chkey -p
Updating nisplus publickey database.
Reencrypting key for 'unix.rootmaster@cl.gemini.edu'.
Please enter the Secure-RPC password for root:
Try again. Please enter the Secure-RPC password for root:
chkey -p failed so I decided to try a keylogin again, but now I
authenicate with the old or new password:
$ keylogin
Password:
Password incorrect for unix.rootmaster@cl.gemini.edu
