Hi Folks,
I've got a problem and could really use your help - particularly as I'm a
complete and utter novice.
Recently we needed to add a batch command file to the system to run every 10
seconds or so. This ran for the past 6 days approx. There was one line in the
batch command which wasn't correct and this was output to the mail log file. I
never picked up on this and I suspect ultimately in filled up my /var or my /
directories.
Everything hung!
We rebooted the Blade 100 and it came back up with hardly a hitch. But when we
keyed in the login code and password to access the desktop environment it went
away for a couple of seconds - the hour glass came up - and then it reverted
to the Login Screen again . . . and again . . . and again.
Did a "Stop A" and a boot -s tried to login from the command line prompt - it
made no difference it went away again and came back asking for the login code
and password.
If anybody can help me I'd be extremely grateful.
