SUMMARY: Solaris 9 C compiler cannot create executables

Hi all

The problem could be solved...! Many thanks to Jim VandeVegt he suggested
the following:

You are probably picking up /usr/bin/cc which is a fake wrapper
designed to call the SUNPro C compiler (extra $$) but errors out if
that package is not installed. I'm a big gcc user myself, and I can
see you have the SFW package installed, so I'd just replace
/usr/bin/cc with a symbolic link to /opt/sfw/bin/gcc and life should
be good. --Jim V.

That was the solution..! Again many thanks!

Mit freundlichen Gr|ssen
