I just have to figure out the exact "route add" syntax and it should be fine!

Thanks to Nathan Dietsch, Todd Urie & Frank Smith:
One way to do it would be to add a host route to the DB server going
though NIC#2.
Add a default route using NIC1. That way, all other responses, ie
non-database traffic, will go through NIC1.
