cannot mount cdrom!

I'm having a strange problem with the DVD-ROM drive in a 280R. It had
been working well for installing Solaris and the Sun Ray Server
Software, but a week later when I tried using it to install Star
Office the CD would not automount. I figured it might have something
to do with some of the daemons I had disabled while securing the
system. I reenabled just about everything, but the CD would still not
automount, nor would volcheck show that there was a CD in the drive.
Worse yet, the eject command would not work, so I had to use a
paperclip to manually force the drive to eject the CD.

Probe-scsi sees the drive, but apparently Solaris doesn't...

Help! (Thanks in advance!)
