Hi gurus.
I'm using a 220 to be a console for another 220. Both are running Solaris 8 with 2 GB RAM. Server A is the one I want to get the console on, so I connect the DB25 to port A. On the machine hosting the console, server B, I connect to port B. I run tip hardwire and get the connected message, but never get a console prompt. I tried reversing the two, switching port A to B on one and port B to A on the other, I get a prompt no problem. The DB25s and cable must be good if they work when I switch the ports. Any ideas why I can't get the prompt on server B?
