Hi there,
We have just installed a SUN 4800 running Solaris 2.8
and seem to be having problems with network
connections to it.
One symptom that is easy to describe is a telnet
session from a WIN2000 Pro (SP4) client, this
connection id fine for a while then receives a message
Connection to host lost message, pinging the host
after receiving this message failes with a time out
error, then after a short time the ping works and the
telnet session can be re-established.
The problem seems prevelant only on certain clients as
others connect and stay connected without any
problems, making this a hard on to track, and ideas
where I should start looking will be greatfully
appreciated
