Hello All Managers,

Thanks to all the people who responded to my mail &
all those who tried but couldnt.
I have tried to boot the system with boot -r & also
checked the disk in another system. still getting sae
errors. the slots & scsi ctller seems ok since other
good disks r getting detected.
Also tried to use this utility scsiinfo which supports
querying SCSI disks for geometry and formatting and
optionally generates a /etc/format.dat entry based on
these values to autoconfigure the disks. However
getting error

root@VSNL-TEST2 # ./scsiinfo-4.7-sunos5.8-64bit -o -F
/dev/rdsk/c0t2d0s0
/dev/rdsk/c0t2d0s0: I/O error
./scsiinfo-4.7-sunos5.8-64bit: SCSI READ_CAPACITY
failed
root@VSNL-TEST2 #

As a last resort i want to low level format the disks
(IBM Model DDYS T18350). Cant seem to do that using
format in Solaris os.
can anyone suggest any other utility for doing the
same?
If not i would hv to get the disk replaced..
Thnks for the all help & info provided...

Thanks & Regards,
Sumeet.
