Hello,

Does anyone here have experience with the Sun SRC/P raid controller? *

Having read page 142 of Sun StorEdge SRC/P Intelligent SCSI RAID
Controller User's guide (rev May 1999) the symptom my system has matches
the second one in the list.

LEDs 6 and 7 alternating with LEDs 5 and 8.

The solution reads "These patterns indicate that the SRC/P Controller is
not being configured by the main logic board that supports PCI bridge
devices. Contact Sun Microsystems".

I gave the serial number for my system to the support representative who
happily chirped that I would have to pay $2500 for on site help or
$200/hour for telephone support, minimum 2 hours. Daylight robbery.

Any ideas on what the problem is? The card currently resides in PCI slot 7
(the first 64 bit one from the top in the E450). It is not listed by
show-devs or OBDiag.

Right now the problem is something of a show stopper so if anybody can
help I would really appreciate it.

Kelv
