I'm trying to use patchpro and smpatch on Solaris 9. I installed it and
downloaded a large number of patches using the SMC;
then I installed them with a list-based install in single user mode and
rebooted with boot -r. The system seems OK -- except
now smpatch will not work.
When I try to do any smpatch commands, it seems to run for a bit (based on
top and iostat) and then lock up. I tried reinstalling
the ppro22 packages but that hasn't made any difference.
Any suggestions of how to try and solve this problem would be appreciated.
