Thanks for all your emails (Bill Voight, Dale Hirchert, Charlotte
Ratliff, Jay Lessert and Jeremy Loukinas)

Veritas release a patch for the LTO tapes (just two files needed to be
updated under /usr/openv/netbackup

external_robot_mappings.txt and
external_drive_mappings.txt --> which contained the following drives

[snip]
HP~LTO HP Ultrium~1-SCSI 3
HP~LTO2 HP Ultrium~2-SCSI 10

That fixed it !

Cheers !

Renee

Subject: LTO drivers for solaris

Hey Sun managers,

I'm looking for the Ultrium2 LTO Tape drivers as Veritas Netbackup
does not recognize the type of drive it is. I don't want to configure it
as generic as it wont backup at the suggested speeds.

I tried configuring the following under st.conf

tape-config-list=
"HP Ultrium 2-SCSI","HP Ultrium LTO 2","LTO-data",
"HP Ultrium","HP Ultrium LTO 1","ULTRIUM";
#
ULTRIUM =1,0x36,0,0x2D639,4,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x40,3;
LTO-data =1,0x3b,0,0x2D639,4,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x42,3;
#

but got this error after I did a reboot -- -r :

LTO-data options value invalid bits set: 0x4000

Any suggestions ?

Regards
Renee
