I am also planning to purchase a Hard Disk of the same model (ST340014A)
for my Ultra-10 machine.
Can anyone, who has used this Hard Disk model in a Ultra-10, guide as to how
should we get the
hard disk providing 40GB capacity.

Early answers would be much appreciated.

Thanks and Regards
Glenn

Hi Sun Managers,

I bought a new Seagate hard disk of capacity 40 GB.

Model No is ST340014A.

I want to install this on Ultra 10 Sun machine which
has Solaris 7 Operating System.

I installed this as slave and it shows only 5.77 GB.

Kindly guide me how to get the whole 40 GB.

Here is the output of the format command.

 1. c0t1d0 <ST340014A cyl 12007 alt 2 hd 16 sec 63>
          /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@1,0

Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 12007 + 2 (reserved cylinders)
