Hi Sunmanagers,

here are some additions to the message I posted recently ". My problem
is that just a clients, one is running solaris 9 x86 and the other is
running redhat 7.2, sometimes have problems mounting user
homedirectories over NFS.

More details abou the problem:

- the automounter is used to mount the homedirectories.
- the NFS server are two E450 running solaris 5.8 Generic_108528-19 and
Veritas Cluster
Server 3.5. All the clients mount the shared filesystems over the
virtual interfaces
  plumbed by the cluster software.
- On the solaris9 x86 box I recognized that during the nfs server hangs
I can mount the
manually using the physical interface directly (I still can login on
the server using
the virtual interface). If I try to mount manually over the virtual
interface the
operation does not succeed (look at appended snoop output).
- on the server everything seems to be ok even during periods when nfs
hangs on the
mentioned clients ( no errors in /var/adm/messages, NIS connection on
the NFS server is
  ok)
- the interface on the server is running in fullduplex mode

snoop output on x86 box when trying to mount the filesystem manually
over the virtual interface:

Any help highly appreciated (rebooting and switching the service group
is currently no
option for me).
