Playing audio files on a remote client

I am trying to play an audio file on a remote client but with no luck.
The server and client are running Solaris 8.

Our users are logging into the server via the client's CDE logon screen
by selecting OPTIONS -> REMOTE LOGIN -> ENTER HOST NAME and entering the
servers name (the Openwindows GUI is used when actually logged on to the
server). When this is done, Openwindows screen shots are brought back
to the client but not the audio. The audio file played by the server is
a voice type audio file used as an audible alert for the personnel
monitoring the systems.

I have checked /dev/audio permisions on both systems and they are
identical. I am under the gun to resolve this yesterday. Has anyone
worked with this type of issue in the past?

Thank you,
Douglas Garland
