Maximum Threads Reached on a SUN4500

My application is bombing out and crashing with the error message "Could
not create thread".

This only happens when the number TCP connections reaches above 2000
established connections.

When the number of established connection is below 2000, the application
runs fine and never crashes at these levels.

I am running on Sun 4500 with 10 CPUs and 4 GB memory. Solaris 8.

# uname -a
SunOS zues1 5.8 Generic_108528-19 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise

# ulimit -a
time(seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) unlimited
stack(kbytes) 8192
coredump(blocks) 0
nofiles(descriptors) 8192
vmemory(kbytes) unlimited

The server should be able to handle these connections and more...

How can I tell what the number of maximum threads/process/connections
this server is set to and what can I do to increase this server's
ability to handle > 2000 connections?

-Thank You Sun Managers,
GM
