My application is still crashing everytime it goes over two thousand
established TCP connections. The 10 CPU 10 GIG Sun 4500, is already
pretty well tuned with plenty of freeswap space and available memory.

I am running with set tcp:tcp_conn_hash_size=64240.

I am pretty much out of options so I'm looking to try to increase...

maxusers to 4096 and set the
max open file descriptors rlim_fd_max, rlim_fd_cur to 16384.

According the Sun's 8 tuning guide a Solaris8 system Sun 4500 should be
able to handle these values and higher.

When I ran a file check on the executable, it reported that it was a 32
bit executable.

"ELF 32-bit MSB executable SPARC Version 1, dynamically linked,
stripped"

Thanks All,
-Gene Mat
