URGENT: Recovering overwritten filesystem

From: Paul Dlug (paul@aps.org)

We did something stupid last night. When creating a new swap partition
it overlapped with the /var filesystem. As the swap grew the filesystem
was corrupted and will not fsck. Is there any way to recover the data?
Only about 20 cylinders in the first part of /var should have been
overwritten.

(This is on Solaris 7 but I can copy to a newer solaris box if there
are better tools).

Thanks,
Paul
