Hi Managers,

I have a set where I have Sun420R connected to a A1000
Disk Array. I also have the Raid Manager 6.22
installed on that Sun Server for the Disk Array.

Now I have all the partitions under the control of
Veritas Volume Manager. This is how my partitions look
like:

/dev/vx/dsk/rootvol 7059201 1023218 5965391 15%
/
/dev/vx/dsk/usr 3009327 865842 2083299 30%
/usr
fd 0 0 0 0%
/dev/fd
/dev/vx/dsk/var 2273483 867774 1360240 39%
/var
/dev/vx/dsk/opt 3009327 424001 2525140 15%
/opt
swap 3628632 472 3628160 1%
/tmp
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol01
                     19660704 4661818 13032816 27%
  /u01
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol02
                     19660704 624062 17070572 4%
  /u02
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol03
                     19660704 215774 17478860 2%
  /u03
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol04
                     19660704 536461 17158173 4%
  /u04
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol07
                     19660704 6380314 11314320 37%
  /archive
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/vol08
                     41287586 8569199 32305512 21%
  /dbarch

Now I want to upgrade the OS from Solaris 7 to Solaris
8 without loosing any data and structure I already
have.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me
figure this out.

Thanks
Best Regards
Hemant
