Hi Guys,

Thanks for everyones response on this question. It looks like, since I
jumpstarted this system I have some packages that were not installed
including SUNWsprot which includes /usr/ccs/bin/as which is needed by gcc to
function properly. I just have to figure out now howto install this package
for solaris 9 since I am unable to locate it on the web anywhere and
currently don't have the solaris 9 cds. But thanks again for everyones
quick response on this matter.
