I have sufire 3800 that has suddenly started rejecting(actually timing out)
network connections. If I attempt to telnet to the box from another host
the login prompt appears after about 30 seconds or so. I took note of the
problem when my local xwindows sessions(started via rlogin) started timing
out for that host.
I have done a netstat, and don't see any errors for any of the interfaces,
nor do I see any spurious or unknown connections. I am not sure even the
next step of trouble shooting. Any ideas? Sorry for the pausity of
information. I am really not very well versed in network issues, but that
is likely obvious.
