Hi.
I have been using RMCmem3.9.1Beta1 on my Solaris 7/8 machine with no problems.
We have 4 E250's which are running Solaris 2.5.1 and RMCmem does not load the
driver:-
Apr 16 09:36:10 brscs04 unix: /opt/RMCmem/drv/5.5.1/sparcv7/bunyipmod: undefined
symbol hat_page_is_mapped
Any ideas?
I would like to write a C program to collect the memory usage like prtmem:-
# time prtmem
Total memory: 7876 Megabytes
Kernel Memory: 401 Megabytes
Application: 1587 Megabytes
Executable & libs: 266 Megabytes
File Cache: 2381 Megabytes
Free, file cache: 6 Megabytes
Free, free: 3233 Megabytes
0.06u 7.46s 0:14.82 50.7%
Which adds "File Cache" to "Free, file cache" to "Free, free" which I can then
supply to LSF as an elim as the free memory.
The problem with LSF measure of free memory is only the "Free, file cache" plus
"Free, free" and if we have a large "File Cache" jobs don't get started.
Finally prtmem can be quite slow this is why I didn't create a script to wrap
prtmem and provide the free mem value I want.
