Console Capability on new SunFire 4800 Systems

Fellow Sysadmins,

We just recently acquired a new SunFire 4800 system. Very vexed with the lack
of serial console capability. Has anyone implemented a workaround for this
yet? Not only do we miss being able to monitor console log activity, we also
miss being able to trap panic messages on the console and being able to send a
message to my operations staff so that they can page us.

Any ideas/solutions/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
