I;ve inherited some old HP-UX 9 machines. Makes some sense, as I already
keep a bunch of 10.20 machines running.
I'm trying to add a defalut route on one of the 9.x machines (no man pages
isntalled of course). I thought t was as simple as:
route add net default aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd
But, here's what netstat -rn shows after I run that:
outing tables
Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Interface
127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 0 0 lo0
default aaa.36.66.100 U 0 0 lan0
aaa.36.66 aaa.36.66.10 U 1 3033 lan0
On my working 10.20 bixes, I get:
Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Interface Pmtu
PmtuTime
127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 8 76178 lo0 4608
bbb.85.106.131 127.0.0.1 UH 41 1500491 lo0 4608
default bbb.85.106.143 UG 657676269 lan0 1500
bbb.85.106.128 bbb170.85.106.131 U 16539246802 lan0 1500
Note the extar G in flags.
hat am I doing wrong?
