Hi

I don't think you can use the "net" option when configuring the default route.
(netstat doesn't show the "default" entry as "G" ateway)

On HPUX you also need to specify the number of hops. If your default gateway is on the same network try adding 0 at the end:

  route add default aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd 0

(if this doesn't work try 1 instead of 0 but you need the hop count or it won't work. At least it never did for me...)
