Hi HP Gurus,
Our Hardware Specialist has sent me this mail
regarding mounting CD's that Rock Ridge extensions is
not possible, yet, we have HP-UX 11i with us...

The Mail Says:
The mount procedure with patches PHCO_25841,
PHKL_25760 and PHKL_26269 doesn't work. I found a
clarification on HP web site:
PHKL_25760 introduced behavior that can
result in problems
accessing files from mounted CDFS file systems, for
example
CD and DVD media. The cdfs driver included in
PHKL_25760
may show and match all file names as lower case
characters.
Any file names including upper case characters on the
mounted CDFS file system will not be located using
the
actual name. The file can be accessed using the file
name
in all lower case characters.
This behavior causes Software Distributor commands
such as
swlist(1M), swinstall(1M), and swverify(1M) to fail
when
accessing the mounted CDFS file system. These
commands will
fail with an error message similar to the following
when
accessing the mounted CDFS file system:
ERROR: There is currently no depot software on
host
"test" at location "/SD_CDROM/". Make sure
that
an absolute pathname is specified for
location
(beginning with "/").
This means that the mount with Rock Ridge extensions
is not possible, yet. They replaced the PHKL_25760
patch by PHKL_26520 but it didn't work, either. The
same result happened every time when trying to install
something from the CD.
