Hi All,

I've installed IDS9000 as some of you have suggested. I've generated the
various keys required and now I want to start up the gui. This is where I'm
running into problems.
I have started the idsagent which seems to run without error.

when I do ./idsgui from /opt/ids/bin I get the following:

/opt/ids/bin>./idsgui

Unable to display the GUI on

        gitns1.pta.za.go2uti.com:0.0

Please check the value of the environment variable
DISPLAY and verify that this machine is authorized
to connect to that display.

I've already done:
export DISPLAY=hostname:0.0

My question how do I go about verifying that a host is authorised to connect
to the disply?
Also Im connecting to my server with VNC with the following command:

vncserver :2

How will that effect what my display variable should look like?

TIA

Rgds,
Kevin Epstein
