ok. I have been working on this cluster all day, and my brain is fried, so I
have to ask a stupid question. what is wrong here?

hacmp v5.1+requisite patches aix5.2ml2

2 nodes. simple cluster. I want to use IPAT via aliasing

AIX1 has 2 network adapters
en0 10.129.18.13 this is the service address, and is the only service
address I want to use
en1 172.16.101.1

AIX2 has 2 network adapters
en0 10.129.18.13
en1 172.16.101.2

netmask is 255.255.224.0
all adapters can ping all adapters. no specific routing
all 4 addresses are /etc/hosts

when I try to make the 10.129.18.13 address a service ip/label, clver
complains about not having enough adapters and not enough subnets for IPAT
vias aliasing.

the en# listed above are the adapters that currently have those addresses on
them. boot address problem?

what am i doing wrong? i have built a coupla of these before, but I am so
deep into it, i can't see the forest for the trees.
help
