I updated our AIX 5.1 to the latest ML but neither Samba 3 nor 3.0.0.1 from Bull would work. Still got the same libc errors describing missing functions, so I updated to the latest APARs. Still no luck.

I went back to scouring the net and found 3.0.0.1 ports from the UCLA PDSLIB. These worked straight out of the box, not only for 5.1, but also for 4.3.3 as well!

So the moral to the story is, trust PDS LIB.
