Hi guys.
I downloaded Samba 3.0.0 and 3.0.0.1 from the UCLA and Bull freeware
sites to install on an AIX5.1 box.
Everything installed well, (after adding the "freeware" user) and I
configured smb.conf, but whenever I try to start a samba binary like
smbd or nmbd or swat, I get the following:
root@mlxaix1>/usr/local/samba/sbin/smbd
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program /usr/local/samba/sbin/smbd because
of the f
ollowing errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for smbd because:
0509-136 Symbol __strtollmax (number 205) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o).
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the
'dump -Tv' command.
Can anyone translate this into english for me? Perhaps even ebonics?
