1.Yes it is possible to mirror rootvg in AIX,to accomplish this you can use
smitty mirrorvg command, select rootvg as the vg to be mirrored.
2.I hope you can rebuild using the chdev command with its respective
switches(Pl confirm this)
3.Refer a unixguide.net which gives difference in commands used in various
flavours of unix.

I am new AIX administrator with sold background of Tru64 Unix, so Pls.
could any one advise me of the following:
1. Is it possible to mirroring the rootvg in AIX V5.1 ? If yes, how

2. Some times, its useful to rebuild the kernel, at Tru64 Unix I will
run #doconfig, what I have to do at AIX V5.1 to rebuild the kernel.
